The new Chevrolet Corvette E-RAY C8 3LZ. This iconic model now comes with an upgraded 6.2 V8 DI VVT LT2 hybrid engine, delivering a total output of 655 HP and a maximum torque of 637 Nm. The car’s performance is absolutely stunning – it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, placing it alongside world-class supercars like the Ferrari F8 Tributo (2.9 s) or the Lamborghini Huracán EVO (3.1 s). The comparison to this class of supercars is further reinforced by its body construction. The Corvette C8 is designed as a mid-engine vehicle, with the engine positioned behind the driver compared to previous generations. This dramatically changes the weight distribution and enhances the efficiency of power transfer from the authentic American V8 to the road.
The Corvette features an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddle shifters. A major innovation for the Corvette E-RAY is its AWD system, where the rear axle is powered by a 482 HP gasoline engine, while the front axle is driven by 161 HP electric motors.
The sporty perforated COMPETITION seats are electrically adjustable in 8 directions, heated, and ventilated. Memory seat settings are also included. The upgraded suspension and coil-over dampers ensure maximum handling in all conditions. A variety of driving modes are available: Tour, Weather, Sport, and Track, along with two user-configurable modes. These settings influence throttle response, automatic transmission shift mapping, steering stiffness, stability control including traction control, and engine sound.
The E-RAY comes standard with carbon-ceramic brakes. It also features eLSD, a stability control system to reduce slip, and Magnetic Ride Control, which uses sensors to scan the road surface 1,000 times per second to instantly adjust the viscosity (stiffness) of the magnetic dampers. The front axle can be raised by 40 mm for easy parking or speed bump clearance. This system includes GPS memory, allowing it to automatically activate at saved locations.
This is a EU model, featuring European navigation, a 3-year European warranty, and the option to select the Czech language.
