The fastest factory produced Wrangler Unlimited can accelerate from 0-100 in 4.5s! The 2024 model year has undergone a facelift for the front grille and received a range of functional improvements. The chassis is now even more rugged and adapted for better maneuverability in off-road terrain. The interior features new functions such as electrically adjustable seats and a newly revamped Uconnect 5 infotainment system with a massive 12.3″ display. The Wrangler 392 Final edition is top trim and comes with many useful features as part of standard equipment. Inside, you’ll enjoy heated seats, a heated steering wheel, and an Alpine audio system. In terms of safety and off-road capabilities, it includes a front off-road camera, rear cross-traffic detection, blind-spot monitoring, and much more.
The functional designed hood with Hydro-Guide Induction System enhances engine performance. Cooler air helps lower engine temperature and the system helps separate water from the intake while traveling in wet conditions. Available 8 speed automatic transmission with paddle shifting. Wrangler has body panels made of aluminum alloy. This model is about 90 kg lighter than its predecessor. Sport Bar is constructed of ultra-high strength steel formed into a tough, rugged unitized component, painted body-color to blend with the rest of the body.
The heart of the 392 is the Selec-Trac Full-Time 4×4 system with an active transfer case and a 2.72:1 low-range ratio, channeling maximum torque exactly where full traction is required. It offers the modes 4WD Auto / 4H / Neutral / 4L (no 2H mode available). The Rubicon 392 comes standard with the Selec-Trac 2.72:1, as the powerful 6.4L HEMI V8 paired with the 8-speed automatic transmission already delivers exceptional off-road maneuverability and crawl capability, even without the deeper 4.0:1 reduction provided by the Rock-Trac system.
The chassis features Dana 3rd-generation axles front and rear, both equipped with electronically locking Tru-Lok differentials. The rear axle has been upgraded to a Dana 44 HD Full-Float design, engineered to withstand larger wheels, heavier loads, and trailer towing demands. Summarizing the ratios and crawl performance: the 392 equipped with the 8HP75 8-speed automatic features a 1st gear ratio of 4.71:1. Combined with the 2.72:1 transfer case and 4.56:1 final drive, this yields an overall crawl ratio of 58:1 (4.71 × 2.72 × 4.56). For comparison, the previous generation offered a crawl ratio of 48:1.
The Wrangler Rubicon 392 is equipped with an electronically disconnecting front sway bar and long-travel suspension, allowing up to 30% greater front axle articulation. This is reflected in a Ramp Travel Index (RTI) of 730, delivering outstanding off-road capability. The chassis is reinforced with high-performance 2″ aluminum monotube Fox Shox, derived from racing applications. Underbody skid plates, aggressive approach (47.5°), breakover (25.4°), and departure (40.4°) angles, plus a ground clearance of 295 mm and a water-fording capability of 864 mm, ensure ultimate terrain dominance.
Considering the engine’s performance, the braking system has been significantly upgraded compared to the standard model. Up front are dual-piston calipers with 330 mm ventilated discs, while the rear brakes receive a major upgrade with 345 mm ventilated rotors – providing superior stopping power under heavy loads, ideal for towing, steep off-road descents, or maximum payload driving.
Wrangler features a dual exhaust. Via push of a button, you can engage the Dual-Mode Exhaust System to toggle between quiet and performance exhaust modes. Quiet mode lets you moderate exhaust sound, while performance mode opens the electronically controlled valves, enhancing the exhaust sound from the 6.4L HEMI V8 engine. Plus, this system will automatically set your Wranger Rubicon 392 into performance mode while carrying heavy loads or running at high RPM, helping minimize back pressure and maximizing horsepower.
Wrangler is also equipped with driving assistant Advanced Safety Group – Adaptive cruise control w/ stop (ACC) – Cruise control maintains a constant distance from the vehicle in front of you with the function Full-speed range ie a complete stop and moves off the car. Advanced Brake Assistance (ABA) – Electronic Brake Assist. After reaching a certain strength of the brake pedal sharply increases the brake pressure and speed up car stops. Full-Speed Forward-Collision Warning Plus – System alerts by sounding a chime and displaying a visual message. If driver doesn´t respond system starts with emergency braking an advanced brake assist (ABA) that is able to increase braking performance. Automatic High-Beam Headlamp-Control.
