Car introduction
The new Chevrolet Silverado RST with the largest Crew Cab offers the proven 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 engine, delivering 355HP and a maximum torque of 518Nm. The power unit features an Active Fuel Management system, which deactivates four cylinders when full engine power is not needed. The 4WD system provides all-wheel drive. Standard modes include AUTO, where the vehicle operates in 2WD by default and automatically switches to 4WD when wheel slip is detected, returning to 2WD once traction is restored. Other available modes include 4WD Low and 4WD High. Smooth shifting is ensured by a new 10-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle’s pre-set driving modes work in conjunction with the all-wheel-drive system, offering a total of five modes: Normal, designed for everyday driving; Sport, which tightens steering, firms up suspension, sharpens response, and raises the shift points, with the Active Exhaust opening the exhaust valves for maximum performance; Tow/Haul tailored for towing, shifts at lower gears to maintain higher torque; Snow/Ice, reducing throttle sensitivity and slowing acceleration to minimize wheel slip. Off-Road enhancing traction, control, and confidence in rough conditions such as gravel, sand, or mud.
The RST model includes Chevy Safety Assist, which offers a range of driving aids such as forward collision warning with emergency braking, lane keep assist, automatic high beams, and Teen Drive Mode, which adjusts vehicle functions, systems, and performance for younger, less experienced drivers. For parking and towing, a 360-degree camera system composed of 14 cameras around the vehicle is available, and when paired with the Trailering Package, it offers a close-up camera view directly on the hitch for easy trailer hookup.
A new feature on the Chevrolet model is the Multi-Flex Tailgate, which provides six different ways to utilize the tailgate: fully open at 90 degrees, fully open at 90 degrees with a load stop for longer items, fully open with an additional 180-degree fold for easy access to cargo, fully open at 90 degrees with a step for easy access to the bed, partially open at 90 degrees with a load stop for longer items, and partially open to create a small work surface at an ideal height.
For the crew, this model offers a fully leather interior in Jet Black leather. The front seats are electrically heated, with the driver’s seat adjustable in 10 directions. A leather-wrapped multifunctional heated steering wheel is standard. A new feature for this model is the large 12.3” digital instrument cluster with high resolution, which can be customized by the user. Additional features include dual-zone digital climate control, keyless entry, and push-button start. The interior is highlighted by a new infotainment system with a large 13.4” touchscreen, powered by an Android operating system. It offers built-in Google services and apps such as Google Assistant and Google Maps, with additional functions available through Google Play. The system supports wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The vehicle’s sound system is powered by a Premium Bose Audio system with 7 speakers.
