The all-new Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack AWD stands as the world’s only fully electric muscle car of its kind. Power comes from two compact synchronous AC motors, mounted on the front and rear axles, delivering full-time all-wheel drive (AWD) capability and extending the vehicle’s everyday usability. Combined output reaches an astonishing 670 HP and 850 Nm of peak torque. Power distribution is split 50/50 between the axles, translating into 335 HP front and 335 HP rear. In standard mode, the vehicle delivers 630 HP, while peak output can be accessed for short bursts via the PowerShot function, which adds 40 HP for up to 10-15 seconds at the press of a steering-wheel-mounted button. This extra surge of performance is permanently available only in Drag Mode, optimized for straight-line acceleration.

The Charger Daytona is built on a 400-volt architecture with a usable battery capacity of 93.9 kWh (100.5 kWh gross). Compared to European premium EVs, the Daytona offers an equal or slightly higher usable capacity. What truly stands out are its acceleration figures: 0–100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds (faster than Hellcat), 0–160 km/h in 8.0 seconds, and a quarter-mile in 11.5 seconds, already reaching 200 km/h at the line. Despite these impressive performance numbers, the vehicle still delivers a practical driving range of 387 km. The maximum DC fast-charging rate is 183 kW. With a sufficiently powerful charger, the battery can be replenished from 10 to 80% in 32 minutes. The standard 11 kW onboard charger, designed for home and private charging, naturally requires more time, with a full session taking around 6,8 hours.

Dodge has developed an entirely new chassis platform for the Daytona model. The front suspension features an independent multi-link design, while the rear is equipped with independent integrated rear suspension. The multi-energy platform not only enables a precise 50/50 weight distribution, but also provides significantly improved handling and agility in corners compared to previous naturally aspirated generations, despite the vehicle’s nearly 2,700 kg curb weight. A standout feature of the Scat Pack model is the Adaptive Damping Suspension. This system employs modified adaptive dampers with two specialized valves – one dedicated to compression and the other to rebound. The suspension delivers a softer, more comfortable ride at low speeds or over uneven surfaces, while providing a firmer, more controlled chassis response during cornering.

The Daytona Scat Pack channels its immense power through six-piston front and four-piston rear Brembo brakes with 406 mm rotors. The vehicle is also equipped with a regenerative braking system, which converts the car’s kinetic energy via the integrated generator back into electrical energy stored in the battery. Regeneration intensity, i.e., the degree of generator engagement during braking, can be instantly adjusted via steering wheel paddles across three levels: 0.1 g (lowest force and braking effect), 0.2 g (enhanced force and braking), and 0.3 g (maximum force and aggressive braking).

A chapter of its own is dedicated to the wide range of driving modes, with the Scat Pack offering a total of six:

• Auto – The default all-around setting for everyday driving, delivering a balanced character with smoother steering response and enhanced comfort.
• Sport – Sharper throttle response, firmer suspension setup, quicker steering, and a more aggressive torque distribution for spirited road driving.
• Track – A rigid chassis and steering calibration designed for dry, rough surfaces. Minimizes pedal response delay, steering input lag, and stability control interventions. Provides optimal torque distribution for competitive track use.
• Drag (Sprint Mode) – Maximizes output to 670 HP, optimizing launch and straight-line acceleration. Works in conjunction with Launch Control and additional performance functions to deliver the best 0–100 km/h times.
• Wet/Snow – Softens power delivery, recalibrates traction, and redistributes torque in favor of stability on slippery surfaces.
• Custom – Allows the driver to store a personalized mix of parameters such as throttle response, steering feel, stability control behavior, and torque distribution, according to individual preferences.

In addition to standard drive modes, the Charger Daytona offers dedicated Race Settings for performance-focused driving:

• Race Prep – Pre-race optimization with two selectable modes: 1. Drag Racing: Optimizes battery temperature to prevent power fade and ensure maximum off-the-line acceleration. 2. Track Racing: Lowers initial battery temperature, allowing gradual heat build-up and sustained peak performance over multiple laps.
• Launch Control – Advanced system regulating wheel torque across five selectable launch profiles. Designed to prevent wheel slip and deliver maximum traction for consistent, high-performance starts.
• Drift Mode – A dedicated calibration for controlled oversteer. The front motor is disengaged, transforming the Daytona into a pure rear-wheel-drive machine. Torque distribution, chassis settings, and electronic systems are recalibrated to make the rear axle easier to break loose while maintaining stability in sustained drifts. Adjustable Slip Limit allows fine-tuning of drift angle in three selectable levels.
• Donut Mode – A specialized setup for performing tight circular drifts. By disabling front-wheel drive and traction control on the rear axle, the system enables effortless spin maneuvers with instant throttle response.

The interior of the Charger Daytona Scat Pack is dominated by modern, premium digital technologies. A large 16-inch high-resolution digital instrument cluster, Uconnect 5 infotainment system with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, and a fully configurable head-up display put critical information directly in the driver’s line of sight. Beyond full connectivity with a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, comfort features, and selectable drive modes, the infotainment system provides access to a wide array of performance data. Performance Pages allow drivers to measure and display: acceleration, braking distance and time, longitudinal and lateral G-forces, steering angle, including a complete history and best recorded values. Drivers can monitor current power output, torque distribution, wheel slip, battery temperature, and charge status. The EV view provides a comprehensive overview of energy usage and power flow, allowing adjustment of charging schedules and real-time monitoring of vehicle energy distribution. Standard wireless support for Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa allows voice commands for adjusting cabin temperature, checking battery status, entering navigation destinations, or even remotely starting the vehicle.

The Daytona Scat Pack features a full leather interior with a leather-wrapped dashboard. Sport seats with integrated headrests are power-adjustable. The driver can adjust not only lumbar support but also thigh support for optimized comfort. Front seats are heated and ventilated with memory function for the driver. Complementing the new seating, the cabin features Attitude-Adjustment Lighting, which changes color according to the selected drive mode or ongoing vehicle functions. Drivers can also create custom lighting colors with continuous adjustment of hue and tone. A perfectly fitting heated, full multifunction sport steering wheel with a flat top and bottom enhances the driver’s interface.

The exterior of the vehicle features an integrated R-Wing front spoiler in the front of the hood, which helps cool the systems while reducing front lift by 30%, thus excellently eliminating understeer. The vehicle provides touch-sensitive door opening, keyless start, and even remote start capability. A nod to its performance heritage is reflected in the classic, aggressive aluminum wheel design, measuring 20×11 inches front and 20×11.5 inches rear, finished in a dark hue and fitted with massive 305/35R20 front and 325/35R20 rear tires.

The vehicle comes standard with a comprehensive suite of safety systems and driver assistance technologies. Blind spot monitoring and rear cross-path detection alert the driver during parking maneuvers. Traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, and Active Collision Warning provide additional safety. If the driver does not respond, the system can automatically engage emergency braking to help avoid a collision. Parking assistance includes sensors and a 360-degree surround-view camera system, with additional front cameras offering a clear view of the front wheels to protect against curbs.
