Car introduction

The new Dodge Charger R/T SixPack SO AWD retains the original character of an American muscle car. The concept of the new model is equipped with a turbocharged inline six-cylinder Hurricane – 3.0L Twin Turbo SixPack SO engine delivering 420 HP and an impressive 635 Nm of torque. Paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission and AWD, the vehicle offers excellent dynamics. The new engine provides strong pull from low RPM and, thanks to the quick response of the twin turbochargers, easily reaches a (electronically limited) top speed of 250 km/h.

The vehicle utilizes a different chassis platform than its electric counterpart and is based on the modular STLA Large platform. The suspension features a multi-link setup with an emphasis on traction and stability. At the front, an aluminum multilink axle is optimized for precise wheel control and braking stability. At the rear, there is a fully independent suspension with a mechanical limited-slip differential for improved acceleration and vehicle control. This model range uses standard dampers with a default touring setup, making it well-suited for everyday driving.

The base version of the model already offers several drive modes that adapt the vehicle to the driver’s preferences.

• Auto – Default all-around setting for everyday driving with balanced characteristics and more comfort-oriented steering.
• Sport – Sharper throttle response, higher shift points, and increased rear torque bias for dynamic, high-speed road driving.
• Eco – Mode focused on efficiency and comfort, with more torque directed to the front axle.
• Wet/Snow – Softens power delivery and traction response to enhance stability on slippery surfaces.
• Custom – Allows saving a personalized setup – e.g., throttle response, steering, stability systems behavior, and torque distribution – according to driver preferences.

In addition to drive modes, the following special features are available:

• Launch Control – Adjusts wheel torque using five selectable launch intensities, preventing wheel spin and ensuring consistent starts with maximum possible traction.
• Rear-wheel Drive Mode – Disconnects the front axle, enabling pure rear-wheel drive for sporty driving and drifting.

The interior is dominated by a large 16-inch digital instrument cluster, the Uconnect 5 infotainment system with a 12.3-inch touchscreen. In addition to full connectivity with a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, comfort features, and drive mode settings, the infotainment system allows you to display a wide range of additional parameters. It comes standard with wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and newly Amazon Alexa integration. Through Alexa, you can adjust the temperature, set a navigation destination, or even assist with remote vehicle start.

The R/T model offers a comfortable interior and seats designed for everyday usability. The driver’s seat is adjustable in six directions and the passenger seat in four. The well-contoured, solid sport steering wheel is fully multifunctional with a flat top and bottom design. The vehicle is standardly equipped with a wide range of safety features and driver assistance systems. Blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert help when reversing out of parking spaces. Traffic sign recognition and adaptive cruise control with forward collision warning are also included. Parking is assisted by sensors and a rear camera.
