Car introduction
The new Dodge Charger Scat Pack SixPack HO AWD retains the original character of an American muscle car while offering a 4-door body configuration. The concept of the new model is powered by a turbocharged inline-six Hurricane – 3.0L Twin Turbo SixPack HO delivering 550 HP and an impressive 720 Nm of torque.Paired with an eight-speed automatic ZF transmission and standard AWD, it achieves an official acceleration of 0–100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and completes the iconic quarter mile in just 12.2 seconds. The new engine delivers strong pulling power from low RPM and, thanks to twin turbochargers, offers rapid throttle response, easily reaching a (electronically limited) top speed of 250 km/h.
The vehicle is built on a different chassis platform than its electric counterpart, based on the modular STLA Large architecture. The chassis features a multi-link suspension setup focused on traction and stability. At the front, an aluminum multilink axle is optimized for precise wheel control and braking stability. At the rear, a fully independent suspension with a mechanical limited-slip differential improves acceleration and vehicle control. A key highlight is the Adaptive Damping Suspension, featuring modified adaptive dampers with two dedicated valves—one for compression and one for rebound. This system allows for a softer, more comfortable ride at lower speeds or over uneven surfaces, while delivering a firmer setup during cornering. The damping calibration is specifically tuned for the gasoline SixPack, supporting AWD operation and increased front axle load. The Scat Pack SixPack HO controls its performance using Brembo brakes. The front features six-piston calipers with 380 mm ventilated discs, while the rear uses four-piston calipers with 360 mm discs.
A dedicated section belongs to the available drive modes, with six options offered in the Scat Pack:
- Auto – Default balanced setup for everyday driving with a focus on comfort.
- Sport – Sharper throttle response and firmer settings for dynamic road driving.
- Track – Stiff chassis and steering setup for dry, high-grip surfaces. Minimizes stability control intervention and optimizes torque distribution for track use.
- Drag (Sprint Mode) – Optimizes power delivery, AWD traction, and shifting for maximum acceleration from a standstill; works in conjunction with Launch Control.
- Wet/Snow – Softens power delivery and traction for improved stability on slippery surfaces.
- Custom – Allows the driver to configure and save individual settings such as throttle response, steering, stability control behavior, and torque distribution.
In addition to drive modes, special performance features are available:
- Line Lock – Locks the front brakes to allow heating of the rear tires for optimal traction.
- Launch Control – Regulates wheel torque with five selectable launch intensities to prevent wheel spin and ensure consistent starts with maximum traction.
- Drift – Adjusts torque distribution toward the rear axle, reduces stability control intervention, and modifies chassis settings for controlled oversteer.
- Donut – Configures drivetrain and traction systems for stable low-speed rotation around the rear axle, enabling consistent circular slides with minimal steering correction.
- Rear-Wheel Drive Mode – Disconnects the front axle, enabling pure rear-wheel drive for sporty driving and drifting.
The interior is dominated by a large 16-inch digital cluster with high resolution and the Uconnect 5 infotainment system with a 12.3-inch touchscreen. In addition to full connectivity including a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, comfort features, and drive modes, the system provides extensive performance data.Performance Pages allow monitoring of acceleration, braking distance, and time, as well as longitudinal and lateral G-forces, steering angle, including history and best recorded values. Drivers can also track real-time power, torque, wheel slip, and engine temperature. The infotainment system supports wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and newly Amazon Alexa. Alexa can be used to adjust cabin temperature, input navigation destinations, or even assist with remote vehicle start.
The Scat Pack interior features a leather/textile combination with a leather-wrapped dashboard. The driver’s seat is 8-way power adjustable including lumbar support, and the front seats are heated. The thick, sporty leather steering wheel is heated, fully multifunctional, and features a flat-top and flat-bottom design. The vehicle comes standard with a wide range of safety and driver assistance systems, including blind spot monitoring, rear cross-path detection for safer reversing, traffic sign recognition, and adaptive cruise control with forward collision warning. For parking, front and rear sensors are complemented by a rearview camera.
