The new Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak AWD. One of the fastest and most powerful SUVs equipped with the HELLCAT engine, delivering an impressive 710 HP and 875 Nm of torque for its class. The massive output is accompanied by an immediate supercharger response and a linear torque delivery across the entire rev range. The result is acceleration from 0–100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. Power is transmitted via an 8-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission, equipped with an advanced adaptive shift system. This system continuously analyzes the driver’s behavior – acceleration input, throttle application, and braking dynamics – and optimizes shift strategies accordingly. The result is seamless switching between smooth, comfort-oriented shifting during everyday driving and extremely fast, performance-focused gear changes under dynamic conditions, maximizing the engine’s full performance potential.
A key chassis component of the SRT Hellcat Jailbreak model is the Bilstein High-Performance adaptive damping system, which continuously adjusts damping characteristics in real time based on current driving conditions and the selected drive mode. The vehicle comes standard with a full-time AWD system featuring active torque distribution between the axles. This ensures maximum traction during acceleration and high-speed stability, while maintaining a rear-biased setup for a sport-oriented driving character. Optimized weight distribution and torsional rigidity significantly reduce body roll and provide the driver with the sensation of a much lighter vehicle. Braking performance is handled by a Brembo braking system, featuring 6-piston front calipers with approximately 400 mm discs and rear brakes with 4-piston calipers and 350 mm discs.
The vehicle is equipped with the Selec-Track system, which allows adjustment of key vehicle parameters via multiple driving modes: throttle response, transmission shifting, suspension stiffness, steering characteristics, AWD torque distribution, and stability control intervention. The system also includes Launch Control for optimized starts with maximum traction.
Drive modes:
- Auto – balanced setup for smooth everyday driving
- Sport – sharper throttle response, more direct steering, faster shifting, and firmer suspension
- Track – maximum performance, minimal stability control intervention, up to 70% torque sent to the rear axle
- Snow – optimized traction with reduced throttle sensitivity and adjusted torque distribution for low-grip surfaces
- Tow – maximum stability and optimized torque delivery for towing
- Custom – fully configurable mode allowing individual setup of all vehicle subsystems
The interior is dominated by sport-oriented anatomical seats upholstered in perforated leather combined with suede, complemented by dark trim elements and a robust SRT multifunction steering wheel. The front seats are 8-way power adjustable, including lumbar support, with driver memory function. They also feature heating and ventilation. The second row offers three seats with a 60/40 split-folding configuration. The Uconnect 5 infotainment system features a 10.1-inch touchscreen with an intuitive interface and fast response, integrating wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, and USB ports in both front and rear. It also includes advanced SRT Performance Pages, enabling monitoring of driving data such as lap times, performance records, longitudinal and lateral G-force, acceleration, braking distance, and steering angle. Additionally, it allows real-time display of power output, torque, fluid status, and more.
In terms of comfort, the vehicle offers tri-zone automatic climate control with independent rear controls, keyless entry and start, wireless charging, a heated steering wheel, front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, remote start, and a power-operated tailgate. The Durango thus combines extreme performance with full-featured comfort and connectivity at the level of modern premium SUVs.
